my name is Gabe McClintock. i am an observer. i am a photographer. i am a dreamer. i am a traveler. i am a husband and most importantly i am a Dad. i shoot anything and everything. i capture the connections between people. the connections between families and the connection within yourself. i tell stories through imagery. i hope you like my stories enough to let me tell yours.
this is their story. this is my story.

imperfect perfection

slow down and everything you are chasing will come around and catch you - john de paola

as our cameras improve beyond what many of us thought was possible only a few years ago, it seems many of us, myself included, are looking to go back to that imperfect perfection that certain cameras of the past provided us. the colors aren’t as saturated. the images aren’t so sharp you can count pours. but there is something very relaxing, comforting, even soothing when looking at an image created by what may now be considered an imperfect median. the colors are soft. the images are soft. the feeling is soft. and while i understand digital is here to stay…i will always have a love for warm, soft, inviting imagery created on imperfect formats (or maybe it is the perfect format)

all images created with the Polaroid 600 SE and a 127mm F4.7 lens
