A couple of months ago Laurie had asked if I would be able to shoot a family session for her. With two of her daughters going to school in Edmonton and Vancouver getting the family together all at once was always a little difficult, so we planned the session for the holidays. Now as some of you may know, here in Calgary (and most of Canada for that matter) we have had some incredibly cold weather, so we've had to reschedule a few times. But yesterday the snow fell in the morning and the sun came out for us in the afternoon and created a beautiful winter backdrop. Thank you Barnett family for hiking with me through the snow and I hope all toes were accounted for afterwards.

I want to say thank you, to all of you who have made 2008 truly an incredible year for me. To all of my amazing couples this past year, I thank you for allowing me into your lives and trusting me to capture it and to all of my 2009 couples I cannot wait to witness and document your special day. I wish all of you a wonderful Christmas and may all your dreams come true in 2009.

Hello everyone...now as some of you may know, on Monday December 8th I joined in to help those less fortunate then ourselves. A wave of giving started out in Vancouver with the incredible Chris + Lynn and it spread like wild fire across North America. It was called Cans for Comments and the idea was so simple...leave a comment on any post and I would donate a can to the Calgary Food Bank. The more comments...the more cans...simple.

So it ended last night and the grand total was 113 comments...which means a 113 cans of food will be donated to the Calgary Food Bank because of all of you. I thank you all for your support and taking the time to help out those in need.

First a huge thank you to all of you who have helped out the less fortunate by leaving a comment here as well as on all the other amazing photographers blogs. This has tuned into a international helping hand movement and it all started with an idea by the incredible Chris + Lynn. Now since blogging this on Monday December 8th, I have had over 800 visits...which should correlate to over 800 comments...in theory. Remember all it takes is 30 seconds, be anonymous if you're shy and help out a person less fortunate. So I am going to extend my cans for comments drive until Wednesday December 18th (1 week before Christmas) and lets try and break the 200 mark.
